Wednesday morning, February 19, 2026. The market is nervous, but that's precisely where the opportunities lie. Let's get straight to what matters.
The Fact: Meta and Nvidia have struck a multi-billion dollar partnership to build the next generation of AI data centers, involving millions of chips.
My Move: I Would Buy more NVIDIA (NVDA). This partnership is a multi-billion dollar vote of confidence and guarantees demand for years. Meta (META) also gets stronger, but the real gain is with the pick-and-shovel supplier.
Impacted Sectors/Assets: NVIDIA (NVDA), Meta (META), semiconductors (SOXX), data center infrastructure.
The Fact: The World Uncertainty Index has surged to an unprecedented level, surpassing COVID and the 2008 crisis combined.
My Move: I Would Buy safe-haven assets. It's time to reinforce positions in gold (via ETF GLD) and long-term government bonds. In times of panic, safety is king.
Impacted Sectors/Assets: Gold (GLD, RGLD), government bonds, Swiss franc, utilities (defensive sector).
The Fact: Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth funds increased their Bitcoin ETF holdings to over $1 billion by the end of 2025.
My Move: I Would Hold (and perhaps add a bit) exposure via ETF BITO or similar. When large, long-horizon institutional players enter, it's a sign of the asset's maturation.
Impacted Sectors/Assets: Bitcoin (BTC-USD, ETFs like BITO), crypto brokers (COIN), blockchain.
The Fact: European regulators are ramping up investigations and pressure on Meta, X (Twitter), and TikTok, primarily over child safety issues.
My Move: I Would Reduce exposure to Meta (META) in the short term. More lawsuits and fines mean more volatility and uncertainty for profits. The tech sector as a whole is under the microscope.
Impacted Sectors/Assets: Meta (META), Alphabet (GOOGL), social media platforms, the tech sector in general.
