Hey everyone. I grabbed my double espresso here in the Financial District and picked out what's really moving the market today. The landscape is hot, with geopolitics on fire and tech booming. Let's get straight to what matters.
The Facts: TSMC (TSM) announced an additional $100 billion investment in its Arizona fab, bringing the total to $265 billion, and raised its annual revenue forecast to over 40% growth driven by AI.
My Call: I'd Buy TSM. The message is clear: demand for AI chips isn't a bubble, it's infrastructure. TSMC is getting ahead of geopolitical risks and securing capacity.
The Facts: Iran shot down a US suicide drone, while the US Treasury froze $131 million in crypto wallets linked to the Iranian Central Bank, bringing total crypto sanctions to roughly $1 billion.
My Call: I'd Hold (oil) / I'd Reduce (speculative crypto). The risk of a Gulf conflict puts a floor under oil, but regulatory pressure on cryptocurrencies used to bypass sanctions will increase.
The Facts: NVIDIA unveiled the new Jetson Thor T3000 (865 TFLOPs) and T2000 (400 TFLOPs) platforms, targeting the humanoid robotics, industrial automation, and Edge AI markets.
My Call: I'd Buy NVDA. While competitors fight over the data center, NVIDIA is creating a massive new market (Physical AI). This is real TAM expansion.
The Facts: Ethereum's 2029 roadmap promises "near-instant finality" and 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) on the base layer, along with a focus on post-quantum cryptography.
My Call: I'd Hold ETH. The plan is ambitious and solves chronic scaling issues, but it's a 3-year horizon. The market may not price this in now, but it reduces long-term risk.
The Facts: Uber (UBER) is in advanced talks to acquire German company Delivery Hero for around EUR 125 billion (approximately EUR 41/share), consolidating the global delivery market.
My Call: I'd Buy UBER. The synergy is obvious: Uber Eats gains scale in Europe and Asia. The valuation seems high, but it eliminates a fierce competitor and increases pricing power.
The Facts: The US is studying a temporary administration plan for Venezuela following the June 24th earthquakes, involving sending 3,000 technicians for reconstruction and political transition.
My Call: I'd Hold (oil) / I'd Reduce (Venezuelan debt). In the short term, this is volatile. If the transition is peaceful, it could open doors for oil exploration, but the risk of chaos is immense.
